Lesson 3: You Are Already Mindful!

Purpose: There are already moments in your life when you experience mindfulness.

Recognizing these moments can help you cultivate mindfulness on demand, when you need it to help you reduce stress.

-You can recognize your natural mindful moments when you are doing something you enjoy. 

-Your brain may become gently focused with less mind wandering.

-The emotions you feel may include calm, happiness, interest, enjoyment, excitement, contentment, balance, at ease, etc.

-The sensations in your body could include a sense of balance, flow, energy, or relaxation.

These lessons can support you to learn to cultivate Mindfulness during stressful times. This practice will empower you to regulate and move through stress with more ease.

To Do:

In your journal explain in detail what activities already bring you into mindfulness.

1. List as many activities as you can

2. What physical sensations are you aware of in the body?

3. What is your emotional state?
